His positive attitude and determination to help his patients make him a trusted member of the communities he serves. He believes in a fresh and modern approach to medicine, tailored to the unique goals and needs of each patient. Dr. Gambino, a native of Brooklyn, New York, has always had a fascination with science and the intricacies of living organisms. His uncle, Dr. Frank Alario, had a profound impact on Dr. Gambino's career trajectory. Dr. Alario's approach to patient care, which prioritized understanding and trust, inspired Dr. Gambino to pursue a career in medicine with a similar patient-centered focus. Dr. Gambino earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, graduating with honors, and completed his family medicine residency at St Elizabeth Medical Center. He also gained experience studying brain injury, autism, and Alzheimer's disease through the International Brain Research Foundation. Dr. Gambino has a particular interest in treating patients with severely uncontrolled diabetes, and he enjoys strategizing with his patients to achieve positive outcomes. Since joining Comprehensive Family Health in 2015, Dr. Gambino has been instrumental in the growth of the practice, which now includes three locations, three mid-level providers, new staff members, and countless new patients. He has worked in the medical field for over 20 years serving as an emergency medical technician and paramedic with the St Lucie County Fire Department. Dan loves what he does and even went so far as to log an additional 170 clinical hours during his nurse practitioner program because his thirst for knowledge was unquenchable. His approach focuses on experiential learning, compassion, and a desire to help. Dan is dedicated to giving back to his community while pursuing his passion. He currently volunteers as a drummer at First United Methodist Church. Dan has also received the Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship Grant, which allowed him to focus his studies on rural, urban, and veteran communities. He draws from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each patient and situation. Dan spends as much time outdoors with his family as possible.
